Revision Strategy

The first thing, after reviewing my peer’s edits and corrections of my own that I want to fix is the lengthiness of paragraphs. I have some page long paragraphs, as I did in my other paper, and need to change this about my writing. I have gone through and picked points where I will create new paragraphs; specifically, I will create a new paragraph for a new quote. Separating paragraphs one claim at a time, like I had been, makes the writing look like one huge block of text. In my learning log, I also talked about how it is hard for me to detect local edits in my own paper. I wrote it, so it is hard for me to detect mistakes. Because of this, I will reread my paper small pieces at a time, and look for local mistakes. I think spreading out my local editing will give me time to really think and to notice small mistakes. In addition, I need to correct my MLA format. I currently put the authors name in parenthesis for each time I used a source. This was my way of giving each author/source credit before I went and actually did my works cited and in text citations properly. I will create a bibliography, and using the Little Seagull, go back and fix my in text citations.
