4. For my peer review process, I look to help them with things that are the most important to their piece. For example, I start by making sure they have a strong thesis and claim sentences. Then I look at their evidence and use of quotes. I don’t really look to make local edits during peer review unless it is something blatant. For example, my first comment on my posted peer review was, “I would reword your thesis. Maybe something like: The digital world is negatively impacting young Americans due to the interruption of their attention that it is creating.” This student’s thesis was poorly worded, so I gave her the idea to change it and gave her a suggestion on how to do so. I learned to peer review in middle school, as well as to review my own work, and am still able to do both of these.
