Recursive process outside the classroom

The thing that I can best relate to the recursive process that I have done in my life is shooting. Shooting is a process that takes tremendous practice, and little corrections to every miss. You begin by shooting at a target that doesn’t move. You shoot and correct your breathing, posture, and hold on the gun while you do this. Once you have the hang of this, you move on to a moving target. This takes the most repetition and correction. You need to judge the speed and distance of the target to give an appropriate lead. You have to readjust your posture and hold of the gun so that you can move comfortably and follow the target. Still focusing on your breathing, and your focus. The final step is shooting at live targets, or hunting. You have to learn how to walk quietly through the woods, how to breathe quietly, and then how to execute all of the other skills that you learned quietly. Each step requires adjustments to what you had previously trained to do. This is similar to the recursive writing process and constantly adjusting what you have previously written.
