Hi, my name is Ryan Dussault. I am a freshmen, currently enrolled in the neuroscience program at University of New England. I am from Mystic, Connecticut, and am part of the wait staff at S&P Oyster Co. I have a three-year-old Rottweiler named Bear. I like to wakeboard, snowboard, and play basketball. My UNE portfolio will serve as a place for me to showcase my English 110 work, and to see my peer’s work. I am currently planning to pursue a career in pharmaceutical research, and eventually get my patent law degree. I am very interested in medical sciences. I like learning about things that pertain to me and to the society that I live in. I prefer to learn, work, and play in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The stress of trying to beat a team that is more talented than my own, proposing a solution to a challenging problem, or being required to learn something at a very fast pace is what keeps me interested. Slow classes, or easy tasks become boring very fast. I am meeting with a patent attorney this winter, to determine if I truly want to continue on the path that i have chosen. If not, I am also very interested in becoming an Emergency Room Doctor. This would be a very challenging career, where I could help people, and would give me a huge variety of different ailments that I would need to treat.
